Scooter safety, pop culture style, by The Little Voice and AWSR

The Little Voice is rolling out a social media campaign with AWSR to make scooter rides safer for young people this summer – and they’re doing it with a twist of pop culture. From Alice in Wonderland’s dizzying adventures to Fast & Furious’ high-speed thrills, the campaign uses references young people know and love to make safety rules stick.

Scooters are everywhere, but accidents are rising – and too many riders still don’t know the rules. Since July 2022, new Highway Code regulations have set clear limits, yet 57% of riders ignore the 25 km/h speed limit, 42% don’t know the minimum age is 16, and 31% still ride on pavements.

Six short, punchy videos – shared on the platforms young people use most – cover helmets, speed, pavements, parking, and riding alone. By combining fun pop culture with essential safety tips, The Little Voice ensures every ride is fun, responsible, and accident-free.
