For the third consecutive year, VO has had the honour of supporting DG Clima in the organisation, promotion and communication of nearly 100 EU Side Events at COP28, gathering over 400 speakers online, in Dubai and Brussels last December.
COP28 was a game-changer in the fight against climate change.
A historic moment where humanity made a unified choice to accelerate climate progress on an unprecedented scale, moving away from fossil fuels and investing heavily in energy efficiency and renewables in the years to come.
Just like every year, the EU actively engages in negotiations at the Conference of the Parties (COP). To proactively show its implication on this matter, the EU hosted almost 100 Side Events throughout the two weeks of COP. High-level speakers and experts from all around the world were invited to share their expertise and make a contribution to a more sustainable and resilient future.
VO played a pivotal role in organising and coordinating these events in Dubai and Brussels. This undertaking involved various agencies within VO. VO Europe took the helm, overseeing the entire project and guaranteeing the deliverables were met. Simultaneously, VO Event managed the construction of the EU Pavilion in Dubai, using mainly reusable materials, and orchestrated streaming from studios in Brussels via a platform developed in-house. Voice Agency handled the communication strategy, media outreach, collaborations with content creators, and live coverage, while SIGN Brussels revived the branding of the EU Side Events.
