2021 saw the adoption of measures on the European level to reduce carbon emissions by 55% by 2030, which will be key to making the EU the world’s first climate-neutral continent. The EU aims to play a leading role in negotiations on climate action on an international level, and the COP26 conference in Glasgow was a key opportunity for this.
The EU side events at COP26 were an opportunity to bring together different stakeholders and interest groups and create a bridge between them and the EU institutions, allowing maximum access and participation by EU stakeholders, despite COVID-19 constraints.
To help the EU Commission with this major stake, we have created a visual identity and declined it for all communication platforms and materials, including a two-storey stand for the EU Pavilion. We’ve managed the conference room in Glasgow as well as the recording studio in Brussels that together welcomed 1200 speakers. In addition, we have created and handled the digital platform, with different functions to allow participants to explore the programme, network, explore a digital project showcase, watch sessions, plan a calendar, and ask any questions.
